How accurate is the Sneak Peek Early Gender DNA Test?
SneakPeek's gender prediction test has been found to be over 99% accurate when determining fetal sex, as confirmed at the time of birth!
Is the test safe?
The SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Test is a non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT), and it's safe for both mom and baby.
Will the sample be collected intravenously?
No, your sample will not be collected intravenously. We use what is called the snap device that will attach to your upper arm and uses micro needles to puncture the skin. Over 90% of our clients claim the test was painless.
How do I ensure an accurate test result?
Keep your blood sample free of male DNA contamination. An exfoliation brush and an alcohol wipe will be used to strip the upper arm of any possible male DNA.
When in my pregnancy can I take the SneakPeek Test?
You can take the SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Test when you are 6 weeks into pregnancy, which is 6 weeks after the first day of your Last Menstrual Period (LMP), or 34 weeks before your Estimated Due Date (EDD).
I’m having twins. Can SneakPeek determine the gender of each one?
SneakPeek looks for male DNA in the fetal DNA found in mom's blood sample. In the case of identical twins, if male DNA is found, then both babies are boys. If no male DNA is found, then both babies are girls. For fraternal twins, finding male DNA means at least one baby is a boy, but cannot distinguish if the second is a boy or girl.
Can I use SneakPeek if I am having a multiple-birth pregnancy?
Yes, you can! SneakPeek looks for male DNA in the fetal DNA found in mom's blood. In the case of identical triplets (or more!), the presence of male DNA means all three babies are boys. The absence of male DNA means all three babies are girls. For fraternal multiple-birth pregnancies, finding male DNA means at least one baby is a boy, but the test cannot confirm if the others are boys or girls.
I've previously had a boy. Will that affect my test result?
Clinical studies have shown that fetal DNA is undetectable in mom’s bloodstream between 1 to 2 days after birth. Therefore, a previous male-bearing pregnancy will not affect your current test results.
When will I receive my results?
Gender results are sent straight to the "results email address" provided during kit activation. If you used SneakPeek Standard, your results will be sent by 2:00 pm PST, the day after receiving your "Sample Arrived" email. If you used SneakPeek FastTrack, it will be sent by 8:00 pm PST, the same day your "Sample Arrived" email is received.
How are my results given to me?
Your gender results will be sent by email to the address you provide during kit activation. The email will be sent from sneakpeek@sneakpeektest.com and will have the subject line "Your SneakPeek Result Is In!" If you entered a mobile phone number during kit activation, your results will also be sent by text. If you are expecting your results email but have not yet received it, be sure to check all of your email folders, including Promotions and Junk Mail, in case your email filter has redirected the message. You can also use your email search tool bar for "SneakPeek."
I don't want my gender results to be sent to my email address. Can I have them sent to someone else?
Yes! Before the test is performed you'll activate the kit online using a unique barcode. During kit activation you'll be able provide both your email address as well as a "Results" email address. Sneak Peek will send important updates about your sample to your email address, and they will send the gender results to the "Results" address only.
Does a previous miscarriage affect my test results?
Clinical studies have shown that fetal DNA clears rapidly from the maternal bloodstream, within 1-2 days. Therefore, a miscarriage will not affect your current test results.
Do blood thinners affect my results?
SneakPeek looks only for the presence of Y chromosomes and is extremely sensitive and accurate. No blood thinners or other drugs are known to impact SneakPeek gender results.
Do hormone disorders such as PCOS affect my results? Does taking progesterone or other hormones affect my results?
SneakPeek is a DNA-based test, so hormone medications and fluctuations have no impact on results.
